Holiday Care Packages for Seniors

BCOC delivers food boxes to low-income seniors every month in Bucks County. We want to give each senior a special holiday gift in addition to their food box in December. Donations of small bags filled with 4-6 items from the list provided. Packages will be accepted up until December 5th, 2018 at the BCOC Administrative office, 100 Doyle Street in Doylestown, between 8 am - 4:30 pm.  Please contact Eileen to let us know you are planning to bring packages so we can expect you!

Backpacks for the Homeless

The Bucks County Opportunity Council accepts in-kind (new and gently used) items to help our clients in need. From paper products to school supplies, holiday gifts and food, so much of our success depends on donations for our clients.  For families who were homeless and finally have a place to call home, you can help with some basic needs; see our list below.

Create "backpacks for the homeless" by donating the following:

  • Medium sized backpacks
  • Tooth brushes & Toothpaste
  • Liquid soap
  • Toilet paper
  • Baby Wipes
  • Deodorant
  • Brushes and combs
  • Wash cloths

We can always use donations of the following as well:

  • Laundry detergent
  • Paper goods (paper towels, toilet paper)
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Bed sets (sheets, pillowcases, comforter or blanket)
  • Gift Cards for Grocery stores, gas stations, and "big box stores"
  • Emergency roadside kits, for clients who receive a vehicle from our Wheelz2Work program

If you would like to contribute any items please contact Eileen Albillar, Volunteer & Community Connections Manager, at 215-345-8175 x 209 or ealbillar@bcoc.org
