Food Program
The Opportunity Council's Food Program is Bucks County's lead food agency for families in need. Support comes from public and private funds, food drives, gleaning from local grocery stores and farms, and more. The network includes over 60 providers focused on meeting the food and nutrition needs of low-income households in Bucks County and committed to a set of operating principles that ensure quality service provision and accountability.
There were 83,093 visits to providers during 2019-2020. The total annual food distribution was 2,401,018 pounds. Over 4,768 senior food boxes were also distributed last year.
