Andrew's Story

Andrew was separated from his family due to economic hardship, addiction and lack of resources.  Andrew was two years sober, on probation and working at a restaurant and living with his parents.

Brooke, his partner, was pregnant, working at a restaurant and living in a recovery house.  They were both overcoming addiction and struggling.  Determined to provide for his family, Andrew tested for the Carpenter's Union and completed his first year of Apprenticeship earning more than $20/hour.  Brooke worked at the restaurant through the birth of their daughter, Kylie, and is employed as a HUD Representative Consultant.

Andrew and Brooke are dedicated to helping others in their battle with opioid addiction.  They often share their story at meetings and offer sponsorship to others.  They got married in 2017 and Andrew is in the process of adopting Brooke's first child, Brayden.
